The British Museum is nearby for arts and culture, Regent's Park for walks in the flower gardens or picnics, Oxford Street for shopping, Soho for music, Covent Garden for theatre and Bloomsbury's Brunswick centre for alternative and Art house cinema. All this before you even have to step onto public transport.
