Vicoli - pescara province

A short distance away (10 minutes by car) is the larger town of Civitella Casanova with a greater choice of shops and services including a mini-market, bank, restaurants and doctors.

The main attraction is the old medieval hamlet of Vicoli, now abandoned, which has interesting elements and evidence of its ancient origin. It is built around an old castle and offers stunning views over the gorge through which the River Nova flows and is a great place to stop for a picnic.
