Castel DI ieri - L′aquila province

The small, fortified village of Castel di Ieri is perched on a small plateau 519 metres above sea level. It is located within the Sirente regional national park and is surrounded by hills used mainly for agricultural activities.

Castel di Ieri is still characterised by the majestic square tower that dominates the ancient village. One of its major attractions is certainly the historic centre which is one of the best preserved in the province of L′Aquila.
