Restaurant/cafe for sale

Property description

Mesón Verfran has been one of the busiest and most successful restaurants in the village of Los Gallardos since 2006. Due to personal reasons the premises are now closed and being offered for sale for a new owner to take it back to its rightful status as the number one eatery in the village.

With wood feature beamed ceiling and complimenting dining furniture, the bright air conditioned restaurant has table seating to most of the room and a long marble top bar running along two sides providing extra stool seating and standing areas for those choosing to just take a drink and maybe a tapa or two.

Two rest rooms, each with a toilet and basin, complete the public areas.

The behind counter area has good storage space and generous work tops to accommodate coffee machine, toaster, display units and other associated bar items. Whilst under the counter there is a sink, washing machines and fridges.

The kitchen is well equipped with two ovens, three hobs, hot plate, fryers and two pizza ovens with extractor above on one side of the room. On the other side there is a cleaning / washing up area and in the centre, a plating up / work station. All are of an industrial standard.

Below the kitchen, accessed by a small lift, there is a useful storage area suitable for freezers and stock.

As previously mentioned, Mesón Verfran has been a very successful restaurant, primarily worked as a family business. Opening for breakfasts including such as tostadas and coffee; then lunches offering a 10€ menu del día which was often taken by up to 20 drivers daily alongside regular village clients; and then providing an al a carte and tapas menu in the evening.

Situated just a 100m from the Plaza de Andalucía and the weekly street market, the bar was a popular and well frequented by villagers and visitors alike. The vibrant week long July fiesta and majestic Three Kings celebrations would leave customers queuing to get in.

Outside of the fiestas there was always constant trade and if providing the right menus to cater for Spanish and international clientele no doubt it could be an equal success once again.
