Backwell has an excellent range of shopping facilities and the Ofsted rated as 'Outstanding' Backwell Academy. Private schooling is available in Bristol, Sidcot and the Downs Preparatory School at Wraxall. Brockley Stores Farm Shop is about 1.5 miles.
