Property description

Two Double Bedroom First Floor Apartment, Offering No Onward Chain In A Town Centre Location.

Sellers view:
After I left University, I had grand designs to move away from Wokingham, having lived there all my life. Over 10 years later and I am finally selling my apartment. I just never moved away and time flew by because I absolutely loved living in Denton Place and in Wokingham. It was my first property where I made many great memories, such as having friends over before a night in Wokingham and then having the easiest walk home. For me, it goes without saying, the best asset of the flat is the location. I had access to everything I needed within a 10 minute walk, whether it be the train station, town centre, supermarket, restaurants or a nice pub garden to relax in after a week’s work.

There would always be something happening in the town centre, from the May Day carnival to the Christmas festival. I often found myself on days with nothing to do, wandering into town, grabbing a coffee and going for a long walk. Even by myself, there was never a shortage of places to walk and there are multiple parks nearby to just sit chill with friends. This is a great place to live, especially in summer!

Area view:
Wokingham, a historic market town here in Berkshire, is often celebrated as one of the most desirable places to live in the UK. With its rich history, vibrant community, and excellent amenities, it’s easy to see why this charming town continues to attract residents from near and far.

Wokingham’s roots date back to the medieval era, with its first market charter granted in 1219. Historically known for its bell foundries and silk production, the town’s heritage is still evident today in its beautifully preserved architecture. Strolling through Wokingham, you’ll find timber-framed buildings, the grand Tudor-style Town Hall, and the elegant St. Paul’s Church, all offering a window into the town’s storied past.

Wokingham offers the perfect blend of rural charm and modern convenience. Its town center is bustling with independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, providing a warm, community-oriented atmosphere. The recently redeveloped Peach Place has enhanced this appeal, with stylish eateries, boutique stores, and outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy.

For families, Wokingham is particularly attractive due to its outstanding schools, both state and independent, and its proximity to beautiful parks like California Country Park and Dinton Pastures. These green spaces offer ample opportunities for outdoor activities, from walking and cycling to birdwatching and picnicking.

Commuters also find Wokingham ideal, as it boasts excellent transport links. The train station provides regular services to London Waterloo, Reading, and Guildford, making it easy to navigate the region or commute to the capital.

The sense of community in Wokingham is strong, with numerous events and festivals held throughout the year. The Wokingham Winter Carnival and the May Fayre are particularly popular, drawing crowds with their lively atmosphere, local crafts, and entertainment.

Wokingham’s enduring popularity is a testament to its quality of life. Its combination of historical charm, excellent schools, green spaces, and a strong sense of community make it a sought-after destination for families, professionals, and retirees alike. The town’s blend of tradition and modernity, along with its close-knit community, ensures that Wokingham will remain one of the country’s most desirable places to live for years to come.

Kiel's view:
What an incredible apartment, located in a small block and offering no onward chain. Situated on the first floor, you get a real sense of luxury living in a prime town location. The apartment has plenty to offer not just inside, but outside too, where residents can utilise a secured space for bikes and a sizeable landscaped communal garden. The 2007 build apartment is still incredibly modern and has been kept to a high standard since, with recent newly fitted kitchen appliances replaced in 2023. Two double bedrooms give this apartment plenty of space to use, with bedroom one also having fitted wardrobes. The bathroom, a modern fit out with partial tiled walls, ticks all the boxes. Then the hub of the apartment - the open plan kitchen, dining, living area where you have a sizeable breakfast bar, great for those looking to entertain. This space is so versatile and offers lots of different living arrangements, to fit your personal taste. This really is a great place, plus you get all the added benefits of living in a 'villagey' town centre, recently regenerated whilst maintaining lots of its period character and charm with everything you could need right on your doorstep.
