What do you love about your home?
In 2017 we reconfigured the ground floor and installed a new kitchen / living space to make the flat work better for us as we started a family. Large double doors open on to the south facing garden, which is great during the summer months - a tranquil haven to relax and bbq with friends in a busy city. The creation of a utility room with toilet, is a small thing, but so useful with young children. Space underneath the stairs was used for bike storage and the loft has been floored to provide further storage.

Why are you selling?
We are sad to be selling as we have created a family here as we move back up to Edinburgh for work, but happy in the knowledge we will continue to have a strong connection with the area having made so many wonderful friends with the neighbours.

What do you love about the area?
We originally bought the flat in 2008 due to the close proximity to Old Street and Clerkenwell where we could easily walk to work. Transport links are excellent, with Highbury & Islington, Old Street and Angel Tube stations being approximately 15mins walk and new north road having an excellent selection of buses.

The flat is ideally located for all amenities, with Pophams bakery a firm favourite. Arlington Square is an award-winning community garden, which is lovely to sit in and enjoy the floral displays during the summer and local residents get together to organise events throughout the year, which helps foster a fantastic community spirit. Having Regent's Canal so close and Shoreditch Park on our doorstep has been great for walks, running and cycling. We are luckily surrounded by excellent early age nurseries and the new Britannia leisure centre is an amazing facility on the doorstep.
