Property description

Located between South Tottenham, Stamford Hill, and Seven Sisters, this spacious two-bedroom maisonette is imbued with Victorian character and has a secret garden all to itself.

Brickworks Says

The first thing you notice when you enter this beautiful flat near Seven Sisters is how bright and spacious it feels—a benefit of being part of a purpose-built maisonette rather than a house repurposed into flats. The proportions were already great, and they have been enhanced by the current owners' clever opening up of the first wall and door leading to the kitchen diner to create a fantastic open-plan feeling on arrival.

Original stripped floors run from front to back and help bring in warmth and character underfoot, and two Victorian fireplaces remain intact in the front living room and adjacent main bedroom. There's also a smaller bedroom at the front painted in a plaster pink hue, which is the perfect size for an office or nursery. The lower section of the home includes the kitchen diner with plenty of space for throwing a dinner party or two, plus the bathroom with a convenient cupboard that's big enough to hide away the washing machine. And the clincher: Down internal steps, there's a private garden with a lawn, mature shrubs and a patio—the perfect spot to potter or relax.

With two different Overground Lines and two Underground Lines within walking distance, you couldn't be better placed for getting around London. But why would you want to leave the immediate area unless you had to when you've got New River Studios on your doorstep, a converted furniture warehouse with a café and events space including exhibitions, pop-ups and gigs? Plus, a short stroll to Woodberry Wetlands will provide you with your daily dose of nature (and wild swimming) and fresh coffee at Coal House café. Push on a little further, and Stoke Newington is waiting to be discovered, including Clissold Park and Church Street

The Owners Say

The area is a truly special place, full of streets with neighbours who are passionate about their upkeep and full of kindness. We are spoiled by the transport links here. Whether you’re going into central, east, or west London, there’s a station within walking distance to take you directly there.

We also love being within walking distance of Stoke Newington––we feel like locals in the neighbourhood. It’s that close. They know us at the butchers, the amazing grocers, and the lovely shops along Church Street.

Another thing to mention: We own the loft, which isn’t always the case with these maisonettes. This means that if you want to in the future, you can convert the loft and create more living space.

The current owners are having a second baby so they’re looking for more a place with another bedroom.

Anything else:
There are allotments at the end of the road and there’s a fantastic community that comes together once a month to catch up and keep the parks tidy. The current owners are part of a WhatsApp group with other roads in the surrounding area.
