Property description

Overview

Why buy this home?

An entrance hall can set your mood when entering a home and being central means that you get an immediate sense of space. The current owners have upgraded the flooring to have a tiled herringbone style, which is not only practical but also looks stylish.

To the right is the living room which is a very comfortable size and its shape makes it easy to have enough furniture for the whole family, whilst still feeling cosy. Bi-fold doors were added between the living room and kitchen which gives the downstairs a lovely flow. The kitchen/diner is the real heart of this home and stretches across the rear of the house. It's easily big enough for a grand dining table and could even fit an additional seating area should you wish. The natural wood effect flooring is light in colour and is tastefully offset against cream high gloss units and ash grey worktops creating a more homely feel than some clinical new home kitchens. Integrated appliances include a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and fridge/freezer along with a gas hob and electric double oven.

The garden has a lovely decking area big enough for outside seating, the perfect place to relax after a long day at work. There's also a large patio area finished in grey slabs, so plenty of space to host the summertime BBQs. To the side of the house is a low-maintenance garden which the current owners have turned into a kid's play area keeping the rest of the garden a space you can chill out in. Steps at the bottom of the garden lead you to the garage and driveway.

Downstairs is completed by a useful WC and even more useful study meaning those who work from home can have their own space. It is a bright room which will help with tired eyes from computer screens.

On the first floor are three double bedrooms. The master has its own dressing room meaning you can treat yourself to an extra-large bed. There is an ensuite with a double shower which is tastefully finished with large grey tiles giving it a premium look.

The other two bedrooms on this floor are still a good size, being on the same floor as the master, they are designed so that younger children aren't too far away. These bedrooms are served by the family bathroom which has matching tiles to the ensuite in the master. The top floor is perfect for older children or one lucky child who could use one room as a bedroom and the other as a living room. There's a bathroom in between both rooms which is light and airy.

Parking is at the back of the property, there's space for three cars as well as a garage. Also, ample communal parking is available directly outside the front of the property meaning no long walk for guests.
More about the location.....

For a new development, Newton Leys is steeped in history. With some parts dating back as far as the Iron Age. However, it was more recently famous for brick-making from the late 19th Century, in the form of Newton Longville Brickworks. When the Brickworks closed in 1978, an old claypit was flooded to create Jubilee Lake, now more commonly known as Willow Lake, easily the jewel in Newton Leys' crown.

Newton Leys is a district that covers the southern tip of Bletchley and is split between the Borough of Milton Keynes and Aylesbury Vale. Conveniently located next to the A4146 and A5, it gives easy access to Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and the M1. You have a choice of either Bletchley or Leighton Buzzard Train Stations which both offer services directly into London Euston and Birmingham.

Primary Schooling is provided by the surrounding villages and Secondary Schooling is provided by Cottesloe in Wing or Royal Latin Grammar School in Buckingham.

In 2017 Newton Leys District Centre opened providing local conveniences such as a Costa, Chinese Takeaway, Fish and Chip Shop, Dry Cleaners, Hair Salon and a 8000 sq. Ft Asda. At the end of April the Turing Key pub opened its doors and has already cemented itself as the heart of the community. It is in good company as there also numerous village pubs within a few miles such as The Three Locks at Stoke Hammond, The Crooked Billet at Newton Longville and The Betsey Wynne at Swanbourne.
