We bought Dukes Mead in 2006 when our daughters were very young. The previous owners had lived here since the 1970s and there was an incredible amount of work we needed to do to make it the family home it is today.

We have loved living here and have so many happy memories. It has been the perfect home for our girls growing up in terms of location. One of the main reasons we bought this house was the close proximity to very good schools. Our kids have always walked to school from the age of 4, right up until leaving secondary school. Fortunately, we are still far enough away to not be impacted by the school traffic. It was also lovely for them to be able to walk into Fleet town centre with their friends as they started to get more independent.

When we refurbished Dukes Mead, not only did we re-wire and re-plumb the whole house, we also made sure there was plenty of storage space - something that will be difficult to match in our next home. The big windows let in so much light and having the second en-suite bathroom has been a real bonus when grandparents have come to stay. We have really enjoyed the sunny garden over the years - it’s so nice to have so many trees nearby and it’s lovely and quiet.

We will really miss living in Dukes Mead - it has been a lovely family home but unfortunately it is now time for us to move on. We hope the next owners love it as much as we do.

If commuting is a consideration, you've got plenty of options! Fleet Railway Station is just under 2 miles away and is on the mainline to London Waterloo. Handily, the number 7 bus (Aldershot - Phoenix Green) has a stop very close by and is two stops away from the station. Getting to junction 4a of the M3 will take about 9 minutes by car.
