An historic building appraisal provides significant information on Dassels Bury confirming that it is a timber framed structure dating from circa. 1600 with later additions. The report comments that five interior fireplaces associated with chimneys survive in a remarkable state of preservation. The red brick façade was almost certainly added to the timber framed structure in 1715. At this time the mullioned windows were replaced by timber sashes.
